Sam Bath, 16, said he was inspired inspired by poetry to pen the piece called "The Last Tram", a play which brings three very different people together on a tram.
"I am passionate about writing, I'm also an actor, so I write characters I would like to play or see on stage," he said.
Sam's most recent role was Doug Hastings in the Carroll College production of Strictly Ballroom.
Sam was awarded the Mayor's Writing Competition's Syd Hayes Creative Writing Award and received a pen made by Richard Turley, from swamp mahogany sourced near Preddys Wharf.
The annual Mayor's Writing Competition calls on Eurobodalla authors aged 5- to 18- years to submit an original work in any style of creative writing.
