Do you need help with your phone, tablet or computer or would you like to help others with their devices?
We are seniors who enjoy sharing our knowledge and helping others navigate the often confusing minefield of technology and social media.
The world is changing quickly and we all need to be comfortable with the new information age.
Please come along and meet us and, if you like what you see, join us.
EuroSCUG has been helping seniors to master technology since 2008. We meet at 10am on the first Wednesday of each month, at the Moruya Golf Club, and groups meet regularly in shire towns. Monthly phone and tablet groups (Apple and Android) are also held. Visitors are most welcome. Meetings start promptly at 10am but please arrive early for COVID-19 registration and administration.
On February 3 our speaker is Cora Num, a fellow of the Heraldry & Genealogy Society of Canberra. Cora's presentation is entitled A Trove Search - 1845 Prosthetic Hand Inspires 3D Printed Hand - the story of a digital record, two designers and two hands.
This presentation was prepared for the RootsTech Connect online conference on February 25-27, but unfortunately, Cora had technical issues and was unable to submit it so has agreed to present it at EuroSCUG instead. Cora is a member and regularly presents or runs small groups at our meetings.
After morning tea there will be small group sessions including a genealogy Q&A with Cora. Other groups will focus on tablets and smart phones: Unboxing Your Tablet, Transferring Photos from Facebook, and How To use The Service NSW COVID Check-in QR code. We have a test QR code for you to play with. Our Help Desk offers one-on-one help on all devices and an Android Q&A session. Visit www.euroscug.org, or phone 0491 608 077
