Another reason to celebrate this week for Drew: his wedding anniversary. He and Melissa (Williams) married on the 8th day of the 8th month 2008 at 8 am. I think Melissa had a plan ensuring Drew would never forget their wedding anniversary! Congratulations to you both.
Gorgeous Angie Reinhardt retired from Maranatha last week after 20 years. Angie will be greatly missed by staff and residents. Thank you for your service Angie; now go and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
Lee Marks, Jenny Scott and Eunice Strong had a lovely picnic last week. On a lovely sunny day, they went for a Cooks Tour around Surfside, then Maloneys Beach, where they had a picnic at the reserve, then came back to Long Beach for a walk. Seems everyone is communing with nature and finding the simple things in life are the things that last and bring the most enjoyment, especially in these times of doubt and worry.
I had a mix up in the store ... when the cashier said strip down facing me, apparently she meant my credit card!
Congratulations to those who made it through 'Dry July', I'm afraid I forgot to start and so I probably started and finished before you all!
Congratulations to Norman and Mavis Geppert, married for 66 years last month. I wonder what their secret is?
