New members, please endeavour to be there between 6pm and 6.30pm to pay fees and process the necessary paperwork.
You will then attend an orientation talk, meet Instructors, be shown different training equipment, receive important handouts from our Club and the Shire Council and observe some of our members training their dogs.
Our qualified Instructors help to teach handlers the basics of dog obedience using positive motivational methods, treats and lots of praise.
We train in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and your dog will learn to socialise with other dogs in a calm manner.
It's a terrific way to get out and about, learn new activities with your dog and enjoy the great outdoors, the rewards being making new friends both two and four legged, exercise and most of all an obedient dog.
All other training classes resume at 6.30pm.
All handlers and dogs are most welcome to join our Club.
Dogs need to be over the age of four months and must be fully vaccinated and the relevant paperwork is required when joining.
Enquiries can be made by calling Magda on 44711440 or Hilary on 0409 492556.
Further information and registration forms are available from our web page www.eurocanine.webs.com, or by emailing us eurodogclub@outlook.com.au.
Rally success
Congratulations to Chris Ritchie and Gypsy who travelled to Canberra last weekend and gained their first pass in Rally Excellent scoring 83/100.
What a wonderful way to start the year ahead.
Well done to both the handler and dog.
Official dog competitions in Conformation Shows and Obedience are being held at Bermagui Sports oval from the 8th to 10th and 14th to 16th of February and in Rally O on the evenings of 12th and 13th of February, with several club members training their dogs for these competitions.
We wish all competitors the best of luck and fine weather conditions.
If you are thinking of competing with your dog or wanting more information about certain breeds, it's a wonderful opportunity to go and observe various dog breeds in the one location.
Details are on our facebook page.
The Bega Valley and Sapphire Coast dog clubs have been severely impacted by the recent bushfires and one way we can help with the rebuild is to spend time and money in the local community.
We encourage all dog lovers to travel to these events and show your support.
Buy some food at the local cafes, watch the competitions and enjoy the wonderful outdoors with your canine mates.
