The reigning champs won the first leg from Batemans Bay to Moruya on Sunday, December 29.
During the presentation, organisers informed competitors of a potential change of course for tomorrow's leg.
"We are under the instruction of Maritime NSW to consider moving the third leg to the Wagonga Inlet due to the conditions forecast for tomorrow," committee member Andrew Holt said.
A meeting will take place at 6am to assess conditions and make a decision. If the race is moved to the Wagonga Inlet, Narooma, a course of 2 x 10km laps will be set.
Meanwhile, bushfires burning in the southern Eurobodalla Shire and on the Far South Coast remain a threat to the Princes Highway.
