In its ninth year, this special event is for the community's most vulnerable, who either can't afford to provide a Christmas lunch for themselves or are on their own.

Christmas is such a joyous time and the Salvos want these people to share that special day with others, while they enjoy a three-course meal and a visit from Santa.

To make the day a success, the Salvos are appealing to any businesses who may wish to donate towards the Christmas lunch. This could be donations of meats, seafood, salads, gift vouchers or presents.

The Salvos are also putting the call out to any members of the public who would be able to volunteer on the day. Duties include door greeters, table hosts, kitchen staff, food servers and gift wrappers.

Corps Officer Ben Knight said "This is one of our biggest days on the calendar. We are looking to local businesses to show their generosity in the true spirit of Christmas".

The Christmas Day Lunch is a joint effort between the Salvation Army and the Combined Churches of Batemans Bay.

Members of the community who are in need can be part of this Christmas Day Lunch. There are limited places available and you need to book in.
