Lucy is young, trusting and is instantly at ease with the faun and goes to his house for Tea.
The White Witch demands that the presence of "Humans" is reported immediately, but Mr Tumnus decides not to turn Lucy over to her - even though he will be charged with treachery - and helps her to return home.
Depicting an animal on stage is not an easy task and requires a lot of skill and a lot of practice.
In The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, there are amazing inhabitants of Narnia to embody, including a leopard, an eagle, a bear, beavers and a wolf pack.
Furthermore, many of the creatures are half human half animal, complicating the task even further.
Mr Tumnus, the faun, is half human, half goat.
Developing the characteristics of a mythical creature requires an innate sense of the character and a fearlessness to leave yourself behind and let the character shine through.

The plays offer actors and actresses of differing ages the opportunity to explore characters and perform in different situations.
The play exploration will be held next Wednesday, October 16, kicking off in the Playhouse Foyer at 7pm, 33 Gregory Street, Batemans Bay.
Everyone is most welcome and encouraged to attend the monthly play explorations, one way to help inform what our community would like to see from the Theatre. Chocolate cake will be available!
