If you're in the Batemans Bay area you can join other quilters to help in making quilts for Harden-Murrumburrah Archie's Army. Come along to Batemans Bay Community Centre on Friday, July 26, and join in the fun - you can work on the bits that you enjoy. The Baylink Community Room is booked from 10am-4pm but if you can only come for part of the day that's fine. Bring along your machine, an extension lead, thread and your usual sewing tools. You'll also need your lunch and a plate of something to share for morning/afternoon tea.
Happy birthday last week to gorgeous Hayley Syne ... the big 30 has arrived but you still look 20!
Isn't it great to see the shire abuzz with visitors and we have had such great weather laid on for them!
Congratulations to Nicole and Joe Evans from the Bay, nine years of bliss and still counting. They celebrated with a romantic dinner at the Star Fish Deli.
Rhonda Cottington from Moruya will be blowing out a few ... just a few, candles tomorrow. Have a great day Rhonda.
Sunday will see Colleen Colebrook doing the same. Phillip will probably be whipping you up something nice so have a great day!
Carolyn Harding and Jeremy Harding are in the states at the moment and believe it or not ran into other Batemans Bay folk! Angela Hood and daughter Chloe, there for a dance competition! What are the chances?
Happy birthday next Tuesday to gorgeous Tracey Paterson from Lilli Pilli.
Tuross couple Anna and Jo Sergi are just back from a holiday on Norfolk Island and like me, they agree that Norfolk Island is a must on your bucket list!
Time to start training for the Moruya to Surf fun run. This great annual event is coming up fast, Sunday, September 8, 2019 and is organised by the Moruya Surf Club. For more information email funrun@moruyasurf.org.au.
Great news from Bodalla, the tennis courts are being refurbished due to a collaborative effort by locals, the shire and the help of Andrew Constance.
Vi Merritt had her grandson Andrew and his four-year-old daughter Violet visited the family from Melbourne. They all had a lovely time, visiting the Mogo Zoo which they all agreed keeps improving at every visit. Saturday was at Moruya Markets, where little Violet's nana, Viviane Wheatley, was playing with Ukulele Group the "The Thugs."
