This July is the Animal Welfare League's state-wide National De-sexing Month. This means for July only everyone, not just concession card holders, may apply to the AWL for a de-sexing subsidy voucher for their pets and have the procedure done at a vet of your choice. AWL subsidies will still apply if you hold a government concession card during this special offer month of July. Help us to control the high number of unwanted litters of cats and dogs that are often dumped in our shire in spring and do your part to help this problem by de-sexing your own pets.
Our Pet of the Week is Poppy, a Tenterfield Terrier, who has recently lost her home and is looking for a loving family to adopt her. Poppy is active at age 9 and playful in all the right ways, plus showing the typical Tenterfield Terrier's loving nature with people.
We do have our teenage boy kittens, Rocky, Chase, Oreo, Jasper, Foxy, as well as little Missy and they are all up for adoption at only 7 months old. Like these two new kittens, Bruce and Cruze, all our kittens have playful natures and would be great for a family.
Cats to adopt are Gus, who is black with a white tuxedo and is ever so handsome, plus Elliott, who has a beautiful black shiny coat, and they are both nice laid-back cats ready to curl up on your lap. Wouldn't it be lovely to have that happen this cold winter?
All our AWL animals are vet-checked, de-sexed, vaccinated and micro-chipped before they are re-homed. Please call Elaine for more information on 0410 016 612.
