An emergency operation is underway after a vehicle crashed into an auto parts shop in Batemans Bay on Wednesday, March 29.

10.47: A NSW ambulance spokesman said three crews attended the scene after being called at 8.55am. A man was out of the vehicle and walking. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to Batemans Bay Hospital. Batemans Bay Fire and Rescue crews used an industrial prop from Bunnings to stabilise the entry to allow the vehicle to be winched free.
10.42: Emergency crews at the scene understood the driver of the vehicle was not badly injured.
10.10am: The damaged vehicle was slowly winched out from the inside of the shop and successfully loaded on to a tow truck.
9.40am: A Batemans Fire and Rescue spokesman said Fire and Rescue crews were called to attend a single vehicle which had crashed into an auto parts shop in a laneway adjacent to the Princes Highway, Batemans Bay at 9am.
"On arrival we found one male in a vehicle trapped fully inside the premises," incident controller Craig Mashman said.
"There has been a partial collapse of the building structure which we have stabilised.
Fire and Rescue said they cleared a pathway around the car and were able to extricate the vehicle and driver.
"We were able to walk him out to the ambulance," Mr Mashman said.
Fire and Rescue are awaiting the assistance of SES to help remove the vehicle from the premises.
"The premises have suffered quite extensive external damage to its structure as well," Mr Mashman said.
Five people were evacuated from the shop.
9.30am: Rescue crews have removed a man from a vehicle which crashed into a shopfront in the Batemans Bay industrial area on Friday, March 29.
Batemans Bay police said an elderly man was involved. He was removed from the vehicle, which remained inside the shopfront. Paramedics were treating him at the scene.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said crews were called at 9am. Two ambulance vehicles were sent to the scene. The driver was initially reported to be trapped.
The spokesman said fire crews were needed to prop up the walls of the shopfront.
The crash has occurred at an auto parts store near the Princes Highway.
