The first walk is on February 6 at Tuross Head, from One Tree Point along the path to Coila Lake.
To get there; turn off the Princes Highway into Hector McWilliam Drive. Follow Hector McWilliam Drive for about 5 km to the T-junction “Give Way” sign, turn right and follow this road for about 600 metres, then turn left into Hawkins Road to the meeting place at One Tree Point parking area. Come and enjoy this great flat walk to Coila Lake.
The February 13 walk is at Tomakin, from Jack Buckley Park to Melville Point Lookout. Turn off George Bass Drive at the Tomakin turn off; take the first right turn intoSunpatch Parade, and drive about 500 metres to Jack Buckley Park on the right. The walk will be on the reserve and beach to Melville Point Lookout, and return via Sunpatch Parade for lunch.
The February 20 walk is at Batemans Bay, from Surfside Park to the marina. Today meet at Surfside Park at the northern end of the Clyde River bridge. Head north on the Princes Highway and cross the Clyde River bridge at Batemans Bay. Continue a short distance to the roundabout and go right around the roundabout, heading back to the Bay. Just before the bridge, turn left into Wharf Road and then right to the park. The walk will be over the bridge onto the promenade, following this to the marina and then returning for a well-deserved lunch and chat.
The February 27 walk is Meringo to Mullimburra Point. On the Princes Highway 9km south of Moruya, at Bergalia, turn east off the highway into Bingi Road. Follow Bingi Road for 2.2km (past the Congo turnoff), then turn left into the Meringo road. Follow this for 3km to the Meringo settlement. If there has been rain, stop in the grassed area opposite the houses. If the track past the houses is dry and not too rough continue along it around the headland finally driving down a dirt track through the trees to an undeveloped parking area. The walk will follow the beach, and along a dirt road to Mullimburra Point.
All walks begin at 11am sharp and last one to one-and-a-half hours, or less, depending on ability. Afterwards enjoy a BYO picnic lunch together. Bring a chair/seat to be comfortable, good walking shoes, protection from the weather and a drink. Come walking, make new friends, and enjoy yourself. Please note that the walks are never cancelled due to the weather.
