Art Central is having an “All In Art” Art Exhibit and Puppet Shows from Friday, October 12 to Sunday, October 21, at the old Salvos store next to Moruya’s IGA.
Art Central welcomes all members of the community to attend the opening and the week-long exhibition. The opening on Friday, October 12, from 5-7pm will be a social occasion with food and drinks and art works for sale.
Art Central, which nurtures the creative process and its mental and physical health benefits, always has an annual exhibition. This year, thanks to a Focus on Community Ideas grant from Uniting’s Ability Links it will be bigger and more inclusive than ever.
The event co-insides with Mental Health Month to celebrate what our community can achieve and create.
Beck Minear, Community Development Project Officer for Ability Links said: “A key consideration in Art Central getting this grant from Uniting is that it’s a grassroots community art group inclusive of people with and without disability.”
Ann Murphy, Ability Linker for Uniting said: “Art Central is an amazing independent organisation that is passionate about inclusion.”
