Life is not measured by the breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away.

It was Lee’s first cruise to the islands, and although the weather was not the best, she learnt to snorkel at two of the islands. Lee and Jenny enjoyed attending trivia, watching the great nightly shows, singing along with the musicians and eating lovely meals. The dress up nights were a lot of fun, as well, and they even took to the dance floor on occasions!
A special afternoon tea was held at JJ's at The Marina last Wednesday to celebrate the birthday of Batemans Bay CWA vice-president Chris Ross-Magus.
Chris' friends from CWA, Batemans Bay Probus Club and Uniting Church gathered to help her celebrate the big 70. Her long term friends, Jan Bourke from Moruya, Shirley Greig of Bergalia and Margie Deszescar from Canberra were also there as well as her new long-term friend, Shirley Leaver from Moruya North.
Flowers were everywhere, including a gorgeous display from husband Ron, even the delicious cake was decorated with fresh flowers. Happy Birthday Chris.
Moruya social butterfly Norma O'Connor enjoyed a birthday this week. Friends were lucky enough to actually catch her at home and not off on one of her “trips”. Norma and I shared a flat in Canberra in the 70's and I am almost broke paying for her continued silence! What happens in the flat, stays in the flat Norma!
I was once asked to babysit her gorgeous daughter Amannda one night and because she was upset, I decided to bake a cake with the then two-year-old. I started asking her where all the ingredients were ... “Where is Mummy's sugar?” She replied, “In the cupboard”. “Where is Mummy's flour?”. “In the garden” came the quick reply!

Happy birthday to gorgeous Sandra Williams, support worker extraordinaire!
