The chamber will launch a campaign where businesses work with the broader community to reduce the use of plastic bags. The campaign will have three main parts says Business Chamber President, Jude Manahan.
“We will be sending a brochure to all homes in the 2537 postcode that will ask people to BYO Bag when shopping in Moruya,” she said.
“We will put large banners around the town reminding shoppers about the campaign. The third element will be information stands where volunteers will talk to shoppers sharing ideas of how to survive life with reduced plastic and offer tips on how to remember to BYO Bag.”
