Batemans Bay CWA is celebrating after receiving a special honour at the CWA state conference in Armidale earlier this month.

The branch was awarded the Past State Presidents’ Award for their contribution to the community.
Secretary Maureen Kinross said members were thrilled with the honour. She attributed the success to the branch’s involvement in sending care parcels to Australian troops overseas.
Polish Day
Batemans Bay CWA will host a Polish theme day Friday, June 22 to celebrate their country of study for 2018.
Lunch and activities will be held at the CWA Hall in Sunshine Bay. There will be a guest speaker, with Polish food and music.
The festivities commence at 12 noon, with lunch served at 12.30pm.
RSVP by June 14 by phoning the branch on 4472 2160. $20 per person.
Posh High Tea
The branch is busily preparing for a Posh High Tea fundraiser, to be held at the CWA Hall in Sunshine Bay in early August. $10 per person. Event details to be confirmed closer to the date.
Spring Fashion Parade
Batemans Bay CWA plans to host a Spring Fashion Parade fundraiser later in the year. The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 22. Event details to be confirmed closer to the date.
Annual General Meeting
The branch will hold its Annual General Meeting on the second Thursday of October.
Birthday Girl
A big Happy Birthday goes to long-time member and current branch secretary, Maureen Kinross, who celebrated her 80th birthday last week.
