She will be spending a long day in port, in Auckland, and that is where she will meet up with them, some of whom she hasn’t seen for many years. I think one of her cases will be full of Christmas presents to hand out when they all celebrate a wonderful reunion just a few days short of Christmas.
Our Dawn (Simpson) is having a break in Canberra, minding a home and a lovely pussy cat. She has been out and about, seeing the sights and has also tried her hand at weeding the garden, but the heavy rain put a stop to that, with only a small patch left to finish off at a later date.
Gay Lynam from Surfside has just returned from a trip to visit friends on a farm at Wandella, just out of Cobargo.
While there, Gay was helping with the cows and experiencing life on the farm. I hope you took your gumboots with you, Gay.
Jenny Scott has just returned home from a quick visit to her home town of Bairnsdale, in Victoria, where she visited her eldest sister, and helped her second sister, from Melbourne, celebrate her 80th birthday.
A big group of the extended family had a lovely dinner out for the occasion. Jenny also celebrated another birthday earlier in the week, with a lunch out with girlfriends.
Deb Dascombe has reported for those of you who were disappointed to miss Pam with the jam and Glenda with the plants at the last Nelligen market, you'll be pleased to know that they will be back this Sunday at the next market, along with the other regular stallholders.
If you are buying Christmas presents, there will be a gift wrapping service for a gold coin donation with proceeds going to St Nicholas' Anglican Church at Nelligen and don't forget the local cafe has the yummiest fish and chips with a view.
Annette Hazell from Catalina has returned home from Nanna duties in Canberra with three-year-old twin grandsons. She also attended her eldest granddaughter’s Year 10 graduation.
She then went to Sydney, where she stayed with her son and his wife and enjoyed the David Jones windows, the Food Hall, restaurants and window shopping.
