A Far South Coast man found with two packages of methylamphetamine or ice, including one hidden in a sweat band in his underpants, has been placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond.
Adam Kemp, 37, of Catalina, pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited drug before Magistrate Susan McGowan in Nowra Local Court.
Court papers said Kemp was seen by police leaving a North Nowra home, known for drug supply, around 10.10pm on March 25.
Officers pulled Kemp’s vehicle over for a random breath test, with the the onboard mobile computer providing information the car might contain drugs.
Officers searched the vehicle and found a small plastic bag containing a crystal substance inside a packet of tobacco Kemp had in his pocket.
A further search located a black sweat band in his underpants. The sweat band had a zipper and inside was another plastic bag containing ice.
Kemp told officers the 6.83 grams of drugs were for personal use and he had hidden the second package in the sweat band so it would not be discovered.
