There is a $2000 prize for the Best Painting in the Exhibition, $750 in prizes for the South Coast Pastel Society Members, 6 prizes of $300 for section winners, 6 prizes of $100 for second place in sections and a $300 People’s Choice award.
The exhibition will be open from Tuesday, April 17, until Thursday, April 27, 2018.

Pastel workshop
South Coast Pastel Society has a workshop to introduce beginners to techniques in applying pastel in a modern fauvism style to a canvas board or other surface, by using underpainting and or other media finishing the work with a fixative.
The workshop is on Saturday, August 26, 9.30am to 12.30pm, at Batemans Bay Surf Life Saving Club, George Bass Drive, Malua Bay.
The cost is $25. All materials and morning tea will be supplied.

Pottery demo
Rosebud Farm Pottery Studios, 520 Dunns Creek Road, Malua Bay, is participating in the Australian Ceramics Open Studios (ACOS) on Saturday and Sunday, August 19-20 from 10am to 4pm.
Veteran potter Ted Watson will be demonstrating and visitors will have the opportunity try their hand on the Potters Wheel.
Also there will be some displays of ceramic techniques and the showroom will be open with a selection from the latest firings.
Art exhibition
Artistic Diversity is an exhibition by Pam Edwards and Denise Luke at Bungendore Fine Art gallery, 42b Ellendon Street, Bungendore, Saturday, September 2, 10am to 4.30pm.
Everyone is invited to view the exhibition and meet the artists over drinks and nibbles from 2pm to 4pm.
