A freak hailstorm transformed Tuross Head into a winter wonderland on Wednesday afternoon, blanketing the landscape in snow-like hail stones.
Resident Cathy Milliken said the storm hit just before 4pm on July 5 and was localised in the Coila end of town.
Colleen and Paul Pereira said the storm generated much excitement in the community.
“Our granddaughters, Chloe and Lauren Wade, were so excited when a sudden short hail storm hit Tuross Head,” the Pereiras said.
“They thought it looked just like snow and took the opportunity to enjoy the occasion.”
