Eurobodalla Shire Council will fence and upgrade a popular Moruya playground over the coming month, making it inclusive for kids of all abilities.
Existing playground equipment at Gundary Oval in Moruya will be removed this week to make way for new swings, balance and climbing equipment, diggers, slides and a hammock.
The works will almost double the size of the existing park.
New pathways, decking, accessible picnic sets and shelters will also be installed, a council spokesperson said.
Trees and groundcovers will finish off the new area.
Similar upgrades will take place at Narooma’s Rotary Park, fulfilling the council’s commitment to have one fenced playground in each of the shire’s major centres.
