Prospective army cadets and supporters are invited to an introductory night being held by the 222 South Coast Army Cadet Unit.
The meet and greet evening is for prospective cadets, over 13 years old, and those interested in helping out with running the unit, from 6pm at Carol College, Broulee, on Tuesday, March 14.
In other news, the 222 South Coast Army Cadet Unit officer commanding Robert Routledge has retired after 17 years of service. His last official parade night will be March 28. He will be replaced by Martin Lyons.
Mr Routledge said it had been a pleasure to watch local and not so locals kids grow from shy 12 year olds into confident and well adjusted 18 year olds, ready to make their way in the world.
