The Eurobodalla Shire Council is calling for volunteers to participate again this year, at sites across the region, on Sunday, March 5.
Clean Up Australia project officer Maree Cadman said it was easy to register clean-up sites.
“You can register places that are important to you – like walking tracks, parks, beaches and local streets,” Ms Cadman said.
“If you are unsure of where to clean up, I can help you select a site
“Alternatively, if you don’t want to register a site yourself, you can join an existing group. It’s a great way to meet other people in your community,” she said.
Twenty sites have been registered across the Eurobodalla so far; from Long Beach to Narooma.
“We provide all equipment on the day and organise for the rubbish to be removed,” Ms Cadman said.
For more information, view the site list, or register, contact Maree Cadman on 4474 1343 or see www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au.
