National Parks crews are investigating reports of a fire in the Deua National Park, near the Merricumbene Range.
A National Parks and Wildlife Services (NPWS) spokesman said reports of smoke in the national park, about 25km west of Moruya, came through from a watch tower on Tuesday, January 10.
NPWS said there was no confirmation of fire, but ground crews were due to investigate the area on Thursday.
A Rural Fire Service spokesman said the difficult terrain and heavy cloud cover made it difficult to conduct aerial surveillance.
More details as they come to hand.
