Police have been told an 80-year-old man went fishing on Tuesday afternoon, and failed to return home.
Nowra Police and NSW SES began a search for the man just before 10pm.
Initial investigations suggested the man may have fallen overboard from his small fishing boat.
The search was suspended at 1.20am on Wednesday and is expected to resume at 8am Wednesday.
