On March 11, they will find out how to make their flying dreams come true at Fly It Forward, a special evening at Skydive Oz headquarters at Moruya.
As part of International Women of Aviation Week, Recreational Aviation Australia, Merit Aviation Moruya, and South Coast Seaplanes will present five special guest speakers from different walks of aviation.
It will be a family night with a barbecue and drinks served, and it’s all with the aim to get “more chicks in planes.”
Merit Aviation instructor pilot Claire Ferguson said that while numbers of women pilots were growing, “we want more.”
“Only six per cent of pilots are female, but a healthy proportion of that is in Australia,” she said.
“I hear lots of women on the radio.”
