The lovely Judy Bielicki and her husband Rick, from Sunshine Bay, have just returned from a cruise to New Zealand.
They had the tail-end of Cyclone Debbie affect them for a day or two, but overall, it was a wonderful holiday.
Judy’s favourite part was going into Milford Sound, which was like a mill pond, as well as visiting Dunedin, where they enjoyed visiting lots of museums.
Judy and Rick also recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary.
Dianne Webb from Tomakin and Jenny Scott from Surf Beach have also just returned from a wonderful nine-night cruise to the Pacific Islands, where they did lots of swimming and snorkelling on the islands.
Their favourite island, as with most people, is the Isle of Pines.
Audrey and Dennis Dwight of Catalina have had the pleasure of having their two grandchildren stay with them for the school holidays.
I spotted Audrey taking the kids out for morning tea while they were here.
Yvonne Hedrick of Batehaven had a lovely Easter, travelling with her granddaughter, to visit Yvonne’s son in Mudgee.
It seems Mudgee now has a reputation as being a Foodie’s Paradise.
Yvonne and the family enjoyed visiting the local Makers’ Markets while they were there.
Gail Skeggs of Batehaven is very pleased she now has her husband Alan at home with her, after his recent retirement from working on the waterways in Sydney.
Alan continues with his seafaring adventures in the Bay, now that he is home.
Gail and Alan recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary.
Best wishes for happy birthdays this week go to Lesley Blackwood, who celebrated with family on the 22nd and to Robin Whalley, who celebrated yesterday.
A reminder to residents of Batemans Bay and district, past and present, there’s going to be a reunion dinner at the Bay Soldiers Club, next Saturday night, May 6.
This is shaping up to be a great night.
Don’t forget to get your tickets from the club as soon as possible.
I was among a group of ladies who attended a fashion parade at the CWA hall last Saturday.
The ladies organise these a couple of times a year and are a great get together for our local girls, and some of the money raised at this one goes towards buying a defibrillator for the hall.
