Every few years the Bodalla branch has a special dinner, inviting the community’s women to come along and enjoy a meal with members and friends.
The evening is popular, with the babble of happy women drowning out everyday noises.
Bodalla CWA president Colleen Constable presented branch patron and 60-plus-years member Marion Emmott with a cake to celebrate her 94th birthday.
The lucky door prize, a gift voucher for a high tea at the Bodalla Bakery, was won by Bodalla CWA publicity officer Jeanne Medlicott, and the raffle was won by Glenda McConkey.
“I think everybody enjoyed themselves and had a good time,” Mrs Constable said.
“I would also like to acknowledge the Downward Dog Cafe for the generosity covering a number of meals where people said they were coming, but for some reason or another couldn’t make it,” she said.
