The group has announced they will resume all water activities on the Clyde River in January, 2022.
A spokesperson for Sailability Batemans Bay said many in the community knew of the good work they were doing.
"Through the sport of sailing, we encourage everyone, including those with physical or intellectual disadvantage, and older and younger people of any background to meet socially and take up new challenges," they said.
"We use boats that are very stable and do not capsize.
"To function effectively, we rely on our volunteers; on sailing days this means towing the boats on trailers to the venue (we currently use Nelligen), rigging the boats and launching them at the ramp before sailing.
"There is also the work that needs to be done behind the scenes and we are looking for someone to fill the role of secretary. That person does not need to be a sailor or to be present on sailing days but does need access to emails and the web and will assist with maintaining our records."
