Free clinics are open across multiple locations in the Southern NSW Local Health District.
South Coast residents who have visited the Northern Beaches, or any of the listed locations in Greater Sydney since December 10 must also self-isolate and seek testing immediately.
Due to recent events, testing clinics are experiencing higher volumes and longer wait times than usual and people are encouraged to take water, snacks and something to keep you occupied while waiting to be tested.
For information on clinic locations and opening times call 1800 318 248 or click here.
Testing is available within emergency departments outside of clinic hours. Call 1800 318 248, prior to attending.
"Our staff are here to help you. Violence or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated," SNSWLHD said.
"Given the current level of community transmission of COVID-19, NSW Health has directed all health workers, volunteers and visitors now wear a surgical mask if they are within 1.5m of patients. A mask will be provided upon entry.
"Members of the public will not be refused treatment if their clinical condition does not allow them to wear a mask."
Got Symptoms?
SNSWLHD is urging anyone feeling unwell - even with the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose, scratchy or sore throat, cough, fever, shortness of breath, headache, tiredness, loss of taste or smell, nausea, diarrhoea or muscle aches - to self-isolate and seek COVID19 testing, so cases in the community are identified as quickly as possible.
To protect lives and stay safe:
- Stay in if you are unwell
- Arrange to get tested
- Maintain physical / social distancing
- download the COVIDSafe app
It's okay to get tested more than once, if you have symptoms at different points in time.
