It was something that Merimbula News Weekly sales representative Hanna Marshall and her mum, Janice Johnson who run eco business That Eco Store, jumped at and decided to use the things that were very much part of Hanna's day - newspapers. Four layers have been stuck together and sewn by machine (a secondhand one) with secondhand cottons and using velcro from the op shop to make a dress that will include over 500 paper flowers.
The recycled theme is close to Hanna's heart and she said as soon as she saw the ad for the event she tagged her mum saying she needed her help.
"So over a bottle of wine I designed it. I'm a teacher's assistant and have done lots of arts and crafts," Janice said. Breakfast at Tiffany's is on Thursday, November 7 at the Merimbula RSL Club 10am-2pm.
