Eurobodalla Rural Fire Service brigades formed a strike force to help fight a blaze near Kings Point, Ulladulla, which has burnt 85 hectares of bushland since Monday, May 27.
After returning from fighting the blaze just before 6am on Wednesday, May 29, crews responded to reports of a bush fire on Sproxtons Road, North Batemans Bay.
However they realised it was just part of Forestry Corporation's hazard reduction burn.
"Forestry was notified and our crews were released upon their arrival," a spokesman said.
On the same day just after 3pm, crews assisted Forestry Corporation at a hazard reduction burn on Ironbark Range Road, North Batemans Bay.
"Our crew spent several hours assisting Forestry contain an edge of their hazard reduction," the spokesman said.
"Once the edge was extinguished we were released from the fire ground and made it back to station just in time for training."
