Committee members who presently hold the positions of president, secretary and treasurer have indicated that they will be standing down.
Our constitution requires a minimum committee of seven members. Unless we fill these positions it will leave the organisation in a position of not being able to function under provisions of the NSW Fair Trading Act.
Those of you who have attended the three previous festivals will know how wonderful they were to experience and how much enjoyment they brought to locals and visitors.
The festival held one function in 2018 and through its success, we know there is considerable interest in holding further events and festivals, but we must have a committee and volunteers to implement them.
If you have time and ideas, you can assist with presenting future events.
We do hope you will show your support by attending the AGM, or by expressing your interest by email to president@batemansbaywritersfestival.com.
Your committee would love to see this wonderful community resource continue to flourish in Batemans Bay.

Red Door reminder
The Red Door is a place of inclusive hospitality of the heart and table.
Every Tuesday the Red Door kitchen cooks up a storm for lunch. Open to all, the fresh, house cooked meals are offered at no cost or by donation if possible.
The Red Door has been serving lunch weekly for seven years and has become a place of true social inclusion, with a warm and open-hearted spirit greeting all who come. The lunches, which consist of a main course and a dessert, are served every Tuesday from noon to 1.30 pm. Everyone is welcome. And before lunch each week, the Slightly Bent' choir led by Kim Edgar-Lane, sings in the hall. The choir has been singing together for three years.
The Red Door is the hall between St John's Anglican Church and the Mechanics Institute off Page St in Moruya (St John's Way). There will be Devonshire tea and sausage sandwiches available. The cost for a car boot or stall is $10.
On Saturday, June 8, from 8am-1pm, there will be a car boot sale to raise money to support the café and the choir. It is held on corner of Campbell & Page St Moruya. Bring your car boot or set up your stall, no bookings required, or just come along to snag a sausage and a bargain.
