Sign on the bistro door ... "We have beer as cold as your ex's heart!"
Zelma and John Rixon celebrated 50 years of marriage at Corrigans Cove on Saturday night. Their anniversary was on the 29th and daughter Gwendolen and grand-daughter Maddison did a wonderful job of organising the night. Relatives and friends came from Tully (Qld), the Gold Coast, Sydney and locally, including Queanbeyan, Burrill Lake and Braidwood. Zelma said it was a great night, the meal was exceptional and not one complaint! What not even from John after 50 years? Well done Zelma!

Happy birthday this week to gorgeous Anne Mikelat of Surf Beach. Anne celebrated with friends and neighbours with a backyard candlelit dinner and many lovely gifts. Popular gal is our Anne!
Happy birthday on Wednesday to well-known Moruya gal Barb Smith. No doubt hubby Bruce took you for a spin in the RFS Blitz, seeing as it is the same model, for your birthday Barb? I'm wondering who made the wedding cake-maker and CWA show judge a birthday cake?
Just a reminder that some fauna still think its summer, so keep an eye out for red-bellied black snakes that are still about. Isn't that right Chris Kelly? Chris had a nasty fright recently when she ran across one and proved to herself that she is still a contender for the 100-metre dash at the Olympics!
I have spent the last two-and-a-half weeks in Canberra house sitting. If you get the chance to go up and see The Full Monty at the Queanbeyan Q, do so. I went and laughed all the way through! Whilst I was there, testing for the new light rail was in full swing. If you want to be one of the first to ride the light rail trams, you will need to be there on April 20. It would be a great thing to be able to tell your grand children about in the distant future.
It's the 22nd wedding anniversary for Graham and Linda Knight today. Looks like I wont be able to knock on the Knights' door if I need a cup of sugar!
Most important, the big fashion parade to raise funds for the Batemans Bay Indoor Aquatic Centre, something we can all use and enjoy, is on this Sunday at the RSL club with your's truly MCing. It's bound to be a fun afternoon!
Our local Batemans Bay Seahawks AFL & Waves netball club are proud to announce they have their First Ladies AFLW team. Their first game is against the Molongolo ladies at 10am on Saturday, April 6, at Hanging Rock.
Today's Fashionista photo of Ruby Watkins and her and sister Bella's puppy, Billie Blue, was taken while Ruby's dad Sandy helped a man change his tyre in The Village centre whilst patient wife Kylie and the girls waited in the car. What a man!
