The exhibition, which will form part of the Escape ARTfest event, will see more than 60 sculptures installed throughout a magnificent garden at Morton.
Expected to attract visitors from Canberra and Sydney, the event’s curators Peter Hoy and Anna Rosen said more than 28 artists would have their work on show.
“The prize pool of $6000 has more than doubled for this year’s exhibition,” Mr Hoy said.
Sculpture at Petana will be held at the park-like Petana Gardens over nine days from Saturday, October 6 to Sunday, October 14, with gates open from 10am to 4pm daily.
“The event will launch with the usual picnic in the garden, byo picnic, and there will be a pop up cafe serving light refreshments,” Mr Hoy said.
“Many of the sculptures on exhibition will be for sale at affordable prices, so its a great way to select a feature piece for your garden.”
Admission to the event, including the exhibition catalogue, is $10 for adults and free for kids.
Petana Gardens is at 408b Woodburn Road, Morton.
