Renegade soft toys – predominantly bears – from Pooh Bears corner appear to be making a break for the coast, with half a dozen bears spotted along the Kings Highway between Nelligen and Batemans Bay the past two weeks.
It is unknown why the bears are invading, or what they want. The Bay Post/Moruya Examiner has been unable to determine whether the bears have expansionist ambitions, nurtured in their post WWII isolation, if they are seeking revenge for the 2017 blaze at Pooh Bears corner, or if they’re just on holiday.
Members of the public are warned to approach the bears with caution. More news as it comes to hand.
