11.16am: Bye, bye baton! Baton takes flight en route to Tassie. Batemans Bay gymnast and coach Andrei Kravtsov had the honour of carrying it on the flight.
11.06am: And Brad brings it home! Double amputee Brad Rossiter in a big finish.
11am: Tracy Innes, Roger Mayer and Andrew Bourandanis take up the charge to Corrigans.
Tracy Innes got a resounding cheer as our live video shows.
10.45am: Helen Hillier takes the baton from Tony Fahey – with a big kiss part of the bargain.
Reporter Kate Lockley says the atmosphere is “vibrant and full of energy”.
10.44am: The baton is going past the Coachhouse Marina Resort. Narooma High School principal Tony Fahey is due to hand it to Helen Hillier.
10.33am: The baton is making its way up Beach Road. Lani Galvin carried it from the T Wharf up Clyde St for about 50m and passed it to Malua Bay’s Peter Anderson. It then went to Ann Brummell. Sharon Himan is due to pick up at the Soldiers club.
10.09am: Ruby Rose is off and sailing!
9.57am: Reporter Zoe is near the T-Wharf looking across the river to the Sailability boats, where people are beginning to gather for Ruby Rose McMath’s leg of the relay.
Ruby Rose is due to pick up the baton soon and take charge of it on its journey across the river.
About 100 people have gathered on the foreshore.
8.52am: The Queen’s Baton Relay kicks off at Batemans Bay Public School on the morning of February 6.
Milton-Ulladulla and Eurobodalla Shire baton bearers get moving at about 9.20am.
They will carry their cargo to the bank of the Clyde River, where Ruby Rose McMath will take charge of it aboard a Sailability vessel.
On the other side of the river, baton bearers will take it all the way to Corrigans Reserve, where it will be finally loaded into a seaplane for its next appointment in Tasmania.
