Why not come along to the Bay Theatre Players information afternoon on Sunday, March 5, (that’s Sunday week) at the Playhouse in Gregory Street to learn about two great productions being presented in October.
This is an opportunity for young adults to take part in a great double feature – the program will consist of two shows, a comedy/drama and a musical.
The first show, House on Fire by Debra Oswald, relates to how things aren’t going well for the Conway sisters!
Dad has just married the geography teacher, oldest sister Bec has been fired, dumped and evicted, and Evie is suffering serious issues with her new best friends. Michaela has 24 hours to solve her sisters’ problems before she sits the most important exams of her life. What could go wrong? The misadventures of the Conway sisters will sweep you away into their world where you will laugh, feel moved and be surprised.
Contact the director, Lyn Sterling on 0416 181 003 or lsterling@bigpond.com for further information.
The second show, the musical All Shook Up, is inspired by and features the songs of Elvis Presley. It tells the tale of a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing stranger who helps a small American town discover the magic of romance and the power of rock and roll.
Contact the director, Belinda Quick on 0448 830 011 or bquick141@hotmail.com for further information.
If you are interested, please come along on March 5 from 2pm-5 pm. Both plays will be covered at this session. And, there will also be an earlier information session for House on Fire at The Reading Room, Ford Street, Moruya on Friday, March 3, at 5 pm.
Involvement in a production goes wider than the actors on the stage and BTP is always happy to hear from people who would like to be involved in all the behind-the-scenes stuff that really is crucial to the success of a production.
If you are interested in sound and lighting, costumes, working backstage, building and painting a set, or hair and makeup, then come along and see how you may be able to help.
