The show was officially opened by the Member for Bega, Andrew Constance with junior Army Cadets under the command of Gary Trainer conducting the flag raising ceremony and vocalist Steve Johnston singing the National Anthem.
Although this years show was a little more low key than in previous years, families were out and about enjoying the fine weather and all the exhibits of a country show.
Lindsay Boyton, Eurobodalla Show Society treasurer said he didn't know exactly how many people passed through the gates yet, however the amount taken at the gate was down about one fifth on the 2018 takings.
Unfortunately the horse events were cancelled because the ground was too wet for horses and vehicles.
"The horse events were cancelled until next weekend, hopefully we won't get any more rain," Mr Boyton said.
"They will be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Australian Stock horses are on Friday with hacks and show jumping on Saturday and show jumping again on Sunday.
"We will be running a canteen, entry is free and everyone is invited to come along," he said.
The Animal Petting Farm and pony rides with Moruya Pony Club were very popular with young visitors to the show.
The petting farm which has in previous years been located in the poultry pavilion was in a new location in the newly built Emergency Evacuation Animal Centre.
"Because the showground was an Emergency Evacuation Centre for people during the bushfires, we were able to secure funding and build the new animal accommodation," Mr Boyton said.
"I would really like to thank all the volunteers that contributed to the day; the Moruya Pony Club for providing horse rides in the sand ring and mostly I would like to thank the community for supporting us," he said.
