The facility will complement the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital to be opened in Moruya in 2025.
A HealthOne facility is a building enabling the co-location of a range of primary health services, combining both Commonwealth-funded GPs and state-funded primary and community healthcare services.
The facility will provide dental, pharmacy, physio and allied health professionals, as well as greater support for those suffering chronic conditions and diabetes, all in one hub location.
The facility will also offer virtual health - so staff can assist local residents needing treatment or follow-up from outside the region.
The HealthOne facility will mean "the community will be able to have assurance that the services and facilities are here to support them," Mr Hazzard said.
"HealthOnes are particularly beneficial for people who have complex health needs, and are a proven successful model that bridges the gap between private providers and Commonwealth and State delivered health services."
He said the facility had been in the planning stages for six months, and would be a one-stop, unique model of integrated community care, working in conjunction with, and supporting, the Eurobodalla Regional Hospital.
Southern NSW Local Health District Chief Executive Margaret Bennett hopes the state-of-the-art facility will make inviting medical specialists to visit the area easier and more appealing.
"We would look to use this facility as a magnet to bring people to this community to support the health and well being and, importantly, support care closer to home," she said.
"I think in health we talk a lot about hospitals," Ms Bennett said. "It's important we talk equally about services that keep people out of hospitals."
"The planning and delivery will be finalised over the next few months," Rural & Regional Director at Health Infrastructure, Cath Taylor said.
Ms Taylor said the infrastructure team was currently working on concept designs, and possible sites and accommodation for the facility.
She said the HealthOne facility would be finished before the Eurobodalla Regional Hospital in 2025.
In August 2021, then-Bega MP Andrew Constance announced a $300,000 investment into planning the HealthOne facility
Mr Hazzard said this money was used to determine "how [the planned facility] actually networks and fits within the whole health system".
"We do some initial work with the district to identify what services they may require," Ms Taylor said. "We have been doing that for the last few months, as well as looking at the initial feasibility and planning process."
"I'm delighted that we are able to deliver [this facility]," Mr Hazzard said. "It is really, really first class to have a HealthOne service."
The project is a part of the NSW Government's $500 million investment into regional health services.
