Jetblack Wild Wombat registrations are open for locals to compete against out-of-towners on Saturday.
However, the weekend isn't all about mountain biking.
Co-founder of Rocky Trail Juliane Wisata said the event will launch its first trail running race on Sunday.
"There are a lot of exciting opportunities and great potential for trail-based events and we believe the location in Mogo and Batemans Bay is an enviable one in the mountain biking community - we know trail runners will be excited to run in these amazing bushland surrounds with us on race day too," Wisata said.
The running event will have flexible start times for runners to complete one, two or three laps of the 9km course.
"The trail runners can start their race loops any time between 8am and 2pm," Wisata said.
