Bridget was named on the NSW Distinguished Achievers List. She achieved band six results in biology, chemistry, mathematics, mathematics extension 1 and physics.
Her goal was to secure an ATAR of 95.00 to become eligible for the Australian National University's (ANU) Tuckwell Scholarship.
The prestigious $125,000 scholarship has now become reality.
When Bridget checked her ATAR online, she was shocked.
"Mum thought it was fake," she laughed.
"I was not expecting 99.00; I am pretty stoked."
Bridget has her mind set on studying a Bachelor in Advanced Science (Honours) at ANU.
"I am pleased with my results, I really knuckled down for year 12," she said.
"I wasn't worrying about my marks, I just kept trying to do my best."
Another student happy with his ATAR was Moruya High's Julian Crosby, who received 91.25.
Mallee Smith said she was proud to receive a score of 87.80.
"Eighty was a soft goal, but I still wasn't confident I would get above 75," she said.
"Even though I didn't need a high ATAR to reach my future goals, it still feels good knowing 13 years of school has culminated in such a good rank."
