Emergency services were called at about 9am Thursday, May 24, after a car turning onto Beach Road just south of the Batehaven shops struck a car coming through the bends on that section of road, the spokesperson said.
The struck car lost control and mounted the footpath, hitting a stationary ute.
The cars had a single occupant each – a 40-year-old man in the car that came to rest on the footpath and a 75-year-old woman in the other car.
“It was fortunate there was no one on the footpath,” the spokesperson said.
“Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and there were no injuries.”
