A free family fishing clinic hosted by author and WIN TV’s Fishing Australia host Rob Paxevanos and his daughter Hailey will be held in Batemans Bay this Sunday.
Eurobodalla Shire Council’s tourism and events team is supporting the Family Fishing Day, which is aimed at helping children of all ages master fishing, and promoting Eurobodalla as a family-friendly fishing destination.
The clinic will include a question-and-answer session and children are encouraged to bring along a rod to put their newly-learned skills into practice.
They will have the opportunity to get extra tips on their fishing technique from Rob, who has more than 27 years’ experience as a professional fishing guide around Australia.
Rob continues to return to Eurobodalla with his family, in particular the Clyde River, which he describes as one of the best fishing destinations in Australia.
“The more I travel around the country, the more I realise that one of the best places to fish is right here in Eurobodalla and it’s getting better every year,” he said.
Each family who attends the clinic will receive a free copy of Hailey’s best-selling book ‘Kids Fishing’ and every child who tosses in a line will go in the draw to win a special Fishing Australia prize pack.
The clinic will be held at Corrigans Beach, Batehaven on Sunday, December 17 from 9am to 11am.
Rob will then head to the Batemans Bay Town Wharf off Clyde Street, Batemans Bay, for a chat to locals and visitors from 12pm.
