Tuross Head Country Club men's stableford event was won by Paul Scholze with an excellent round of 41 points achieved under adverse windy conditions.
He was followed by Stephen Crossling with 39 points with Jim Wade being relegated to third spot on a countback.
Lawrence Kelly 38 points and Stephen Walker filled the remaining voucher award positions.
Nearest the pins were won by:
A grade golfer Colin Houghton on the 4th with 5.3m.
Adam Husband won the 6th hole with 2.6m.
Troy Kingdom was best on the 7th hole with 5.0m.
B grade player Steve Swanbury was closest on the 4th hole with 2.62m.
Jim Wade won both the 6th and the 7th holes with 2.4m and 8..56m.
C grade golfer Peter McRae was awarded the 4th hole with 6m and then lined up again to win the 7th with 6.51m.
The coming Saturday Round is the monthly medal round.
Thursday's 18-hole stableford medley was won by Ian McManus with 38 points ahead of Peter Nikolic and Steve Johnston both on 35 points with Marie Muriwai filling the final position with 33 points.
A highlight of the day was a hole-in-one by Tony Russell on the 4th hole.
Ian McManus had a very close 0.56m win on the 6th.
Marie Muriwai won the 7th hole with 1.16m.

On Thursday, 28th September, 2017, 86 veteran golfers competed in 2 events. Their choice was either a 9 hole or 18 hole individual Stableford. On the shorter course the winners were:

Wednesday’s game was a stableford multiplier event with 60 starters. The winning team were – Tim Starr & Les Johanson with 49 points. Second place went to – David Williams & Allen Lee with 48 points. In third place it was – Noel Fletcher & Ross Hendy with 47 points.
The Bradmans was awarded to – Rick Brake & Herb Muriwai and the Accuracy drive went to – Kevin Dukes. Nearest the pins – fourth – Lachlan Nordsvan (visitor) sixth – Guss Alammadine. Seventh – Sandra Hanlon & Wal Williams (in the hole). Ball or chocolate went to – Lyn & Denis Benger, Teri & Steve Swanbury – 42 points. On Tuesday, the ladies started the day with their A.G.M and elected a new committee for 2018. Afterwards 22 ladies set off to play in a single stableford event. Division one winner was – Leonie Snodgrass with 34 points, followed by – Chris Wratten with 32 points. Division two winner was – Pam Alexander with 39 points, followed by – Kaye Lunt with 35 points. In division three it was – Jeanette Miller with 39 points, followed by – Wendy Schmid with 38 points. Balls went to – Kath Crossling – 36 points. Lyn Benger – 35 points.Judy Apps – 34 points. Jennifer Gray, Teri Swanbury – 33 points. Kay McLeod, Marie Muriwai – 31 points. Jenny Wark, Ann Challender – 30 points. Nearest the pin on the sixth – Chris Wratten. The Golden hole for division one – Gayle MacAlpine & in division two it was – Gayle MacAlpine. Next week the ladies will play a single stableford event.

A Grade winner was Sue Lowes [21] 37 points, second Judi Rimmer [16] 36 points, third Debbie Coleman [17] 35 points and fourth was Nikki Frank [8] 34 points.
B Grade winner Ngaire Durnan [22] 38 points, second Meike Van Doeland [26] 33 points, third Sue Charles Hartley [27] 31 points, fourth on a countback was Jenny Black [24] 31 points.
C Grade winner Susan Bourke [41] 38 points, second Julie Gercken [40] 37 points, third Sandra Keon [31] 33 points and fourth on a countback Jo Neal [33] 33 points..

On Wednesday 27th September we held our community projects day. A lovely fun day was had by all players and the trading stalls were well supported with a fantastic donation being made to Muddy Puddles.

THURSDAY 28th SEPTEMBER
A good field of 130 played in quite windy conditions with a resultant DSR of 71/72. A Grade was taken out by Club Treasurer Phil Haynes who had a day out with 42 points off a handicap of 11, followed by Bill Durnan with 39 points and hard-working match official Barry Pateman who headed Scot Ker on countback with 37 points. In B Grade Paul Ingamells continued the good day for match officials with 40 points off his handicap of 19 to finish two points ahead of his playing partner Ron Manly who filled second place on countback from Jackson Taylor. C Grade was a battle of the longtime Narooma residents where Sid Dean finished one point ahead of Jim Young with his 43 points off a handicap of 28, while Bruce Day finished third with 39 points. The nearest-the-pin winners were Scott Ker on 3, Justin Bennett on 9, Kevin Mitchell from Yowani on 14 and Colin Pratt on 17, while the ball competition went down to 33 points with 17 home.
SATURDAY 30th SEPTEMBER
Another good field of 131 players again faced windy conditions where the DSR emerged as a consistent 73. In A Grade Tim Bunn from Cape Shanck prevailed with 40 points off his handicap of 12, followed by the consistent junior member Jackson Taylor with 38 points and Jason Andrew on 37 points. B Grade was also taken out with 40 points, this time by Robbie Brown off a handicap of 19. Bill Baker broke a long series of "outs" to finish second with 38 points,while Matt Moore took third place one point further back on countback from Bernie Krueger and Yijun Zhou from Muirfield. In C Grade a young golfer from Muirfield, Wen Zhou, had by far the best score of the day with 46 points off a handicap of 28, while Peter Kape finished second with 40 points and Sid Dean continued his good week with 39 points in third place. The nearest-the-pin winners were Brian Brown on 3, Andrew Thompson on 9, Sid Dean on 14 and Ken Brown from Moruya on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 32 points.
