Two teams of bridge players from the Batemans Bay Bridge Club travelled out to Wagga recently to compete in the NSW SouthWest Zone playoffs.

The field included teams from Wollongong, Wagga Wagga, Far South Coast and the Riverina.

At the end of the weekend the Wollongong teams came first and second, with the Leeton team also tying for second.
The Batemans Bay had an most enjoyable weekend, with high quality bridge, great company and excellent catering.
The Batemans Bay teams consisted of Geoffrey Phegan, Judith Carpenter, David Woodward, and Richard Prickett in Team One, and Joan Small, Rita Wright and Louise and Michael Brassil in Team Two.
