Therese Holgate of Moruya’s Nature Coast Dragon Boat Club is set to take her paddling to the next level this year, after she was selected for Australian National team The Auroras.

Made up of the country’s strongest and most dedicated paddlers, The Auroras have gone from strength to strength since their inception by the Australian Dragon Boat Foundation six years ago.
The Auroras are represented in A, B, C categories as well as Juniors, with Therese forming part of the B team.
Therese has previously competed at regional and state level, winning gold in last year’s Nationals held in Adelaide.
She is in the midst of a stringent training regime ahead of the IDBF 13th World Nation Championships to be held in China later in the year.
Julie Salter from Nature Coast said the club is “extremely proud of Therese” and is “looking forward to supporting her along the way.”

Nature Coast Dragon Boat Club trains Tuesday 5.15pm and Saturday 8.15am at Moruya Wharf. New paddlers always welcome.
