An 18-point loss is generally something teams like to forget, but the Sydney Kings 92-74 defeat at the hands of the NZ breakers in Auckland will live on in the memory of Batemans Bay’s Darcy Harding for many years to come, after he made his NBL debut.

The 22-year-old was brought on in latter stages of the match and managed to maintain a solid defensive presence during the one minute and seven seconds he was on the court.
Darcy’s mother Carolyn said it was another significant step forward in Darcy burgeoning career at the Kings.
“He didn’t give anything away defensively, which was great,” she said.
“It’s fantastic experience for and goes towards fulfilling his dream.”
It was the second time Harding had suited up for the Kings, having made it onto the bench for the side’s game against Melbourne last month.
He was selected as a development player by the Kings in June last year.
