Nearly 400 competitors saddled up at Moruya on New Year’s Day for the annual rodeo.
The event followed on from the Nowra Rodeo on New Year’s Eve, and the Jindabyne Rodeo on December 27.
As always, the Bull Ride proved to be one of the most popular events of the day, while the Broncs also drew a crowd.
Moruya Rodeo Secretary Amber Pollard said the day provided a unique spectacle for the whole family.
“Rodeo gives you something you don’t get to see every day in this area,” she said.
“Once a year, we have cowboys in town.”
“We have a special award, the Jim Turnbull buckle for the novice bull-ride. This year we had equal first, so we have a buckle that we need to split in two.”
