The Global Climate Action Day event in Moruya will be held at the same time Governments meet in Paris.
More than 200 people are expected to gather in Rotary Park, Moruya, near the Rotunda, at 10.30am on Saturday for the rally.
After talks in the park, there will be march to the Anglican Church, where the bell will ring.
Eurobodalla 350.org volunteers Sandy Wilder and Robynne Murphy are organising the event and want to see coal mining shut down immediately throughout Australia.
“They should certainly not open anymore coal mines in Australia,” Ms Wilder said.
“I would like to see the Government invest in renewable energy.
“We want Australia to massively cut pollution and shift to 100 per cent clean energy.
“This needs to be put into legislation so the renewable energy industry has the signal to go ahead and make wind farms.
“We can do it in Australia and we could lead the world.
“People, businesses and even whole cities are already using energy powered entirely by sun and wind.”
Ms Wilder said there would be a guest speaker a the event.
“People should come because our climate is in danger and therefore so is civilization and our lifestyle,” she said.
Ms Murphy said Australia had the ‘highest percentage of emissions per capita’.
“It is a problem health wise too,” she said.
“It is important that the regional areas get involved, as well as cities, because we have farming that would be impacted.
“The oyster farmers here would be impacted by the changes in water temperature that we are already seeing.”
There will be a drumming performance, street theatre and a welcome to country as part of the event.
“People should come and show the Government that they care about protecting the beautiful place we live in,” Ms Wilder said.
