A report for Tuesday’s council meeting lists expenses incurred by councillors in April, May and June.
Cr Brown expended $9211 on conference/delegate costs, $5199 in training and skill development, $4007 on travel and $572 on phone, fax and internet.
The second biggest spenders were Cr Neil Burnside and Cr Milton Leslight.
Cr Burnside spent $1645 on conferences/ delegations, $1569 on travel and $409 on phone, fax and internet.
Cr Leslight spent $1067 on conferences/delegations, $1193 on travel and $543 on phone, fax and internet.
Other councillor expenses for the three months, including their councillor allowance, were: Cr Rob Pollock ($2310), Cr Fergus Thomson ($1098), Cr Danielle Brice ($1000), Cr Liz Innes ($912), Cr Peter Schwarz ($609) and Cr Gabi Harding ($282).
In addition to these expenses, the mayor received $13,913 and councillors $4373 for the period from their annual councillor allowances.
